The Clinical Services and Training Department is responsible for all continuing education and enhancement
education programs at EVAC Ambulance; maintaining all training records; and quality assurance.
The center piece of the training department is the cadaver lab. Twice a year, in cooperation with the
University of Florida, Gainesville, two cadavers are brought to the state-of-the art cadaver lab at EVAC
Ambulance were refresher training and training in new techniques are conducted. In conjunction with didactic
training, EMTs and Paramedics alike, are offered clinical, on-hands training utilizing the cadavers.
EVAC Ambulance is the only service in the State of Florida to offer this type of in-house training and one of
just a hand full in the nation.
