The Emergency Medical Foundation was founded in 1981. Since its inception, EVAC Ambulance has based its growth
and success upon a commitment to exceed customer and clinical expectations.
EVAC Ambulance has over Twenty (20) years of expertise in working with the local medical, educational and the
public safety community. We are acutely aware of the importance of timely, high quality ambulance care. We
are committed to helping communities improve the overall health status of its citizens. This commitment has
fueled our growth and reputation as an industry leader and one of the reasons why EVAC Ambulance and ECS were
selected as the recipients of the Florida 2002 Outstanding EMS Provider of the Year Award.
EVAC Ambulance utilizes System Status Management along with Dynamic Deployment to meet the changing demands
placed on the EMS system in Volusia County. Employee scheduling and staffing is accomplished using 8, 10,
12 and 13-hour shifts providing 24-hours of ambulance coverage .
Each vehicle is equipped with state of the art Mobile Data Terminals (MDT), Automatic Vehicle Locators (AVLS),
800 Megahertz Radio system, and Lifepack 12 monitors.
