4. What are the minimum qualifications to work at EVAC Ambulance
- 19 years of age and High school gradute or equivalent
- No dishonorable or undesrable discharge from any branch of the armed forces
- No felony convictions
- No misdemeanor convictions involving perjury, false statements, or moral turpitude
- Possess and maintain a valid Florida class "E" driver's license. (visit www.hsmv.state.fl.us)
- Not more than (5) points in the past 36 months
- No suspensions(s) under the points system in Chapter 322 of Florida Law
- Has not, within the past 5 years, been convicted of reckless driving or driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances and has not had a driver's license suspended under the point system provided for in chapter 322;
- Driving record must be acceptable to EVAC's insurance carrier including but not limited to: No more than 2 moving violations in the past 34 months.
- Possess a 16-hour certificate of completion from an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) or equivalent. For course, contact Volusia County Fire Services at 386-239-6427, Daytona State College at 386-506-3000 or Central Florida Fire Academy located at Mid-Florida Technical Institue at 407-855-3281
- All Applicants must satisfactorily meet the requirements of a criminal background investigation, and a comprehensive medical examination and wellness evaluation including drug screening.

- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification or American Red Cross health care provider "C" certification
